ABOUT SAN DIEGO STREET CAT SOCIETY
Established in 2020
San Diego Street Cat Society is a volunteer run organization, providing free advice and assistance trapping and managing community cats. In 2022 we received our 501(c)(3) non-profit status. Our goal is to fill the gap between the community and the shelter. We know many people want to help cats they see in their neighborhood but don't know how or lack the tools. Unfortunately, while shelters and rescue groups in San Diego will accept these cats, most do not have the resources to send someone out to catch each one.

Unfortunately we are currently low on volunteers and not able to send out someone out in every case, but we are happy to give advice, direct you toward resources, and give you the tools you need to do the trapping yourself.
WHAT WE DO
TNR
Our volunteers will come out to your location and trap as many cats as possible. We will get them spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and ear tipped. They will then be returned to their colony. Kittens and any adult cats that cannot return to the colony will be fostered until a home can be found for them.
